About Jessica

Jessica Brown is a proud Nunatsiavut Inuk woman from Happy Valley–Goose Bay, now based in St. John's, NL.

She is an artist who refuses to be boxed in. Film, television, fashion, storytelling, advocacy. Jessica creates wherever the work calls her, defined not by any single medium but by the way she moves through the world. But before any title or project, she is a mother and someone who shows up for her people. That is the heartbeat behind everything she builds.

Rooted in a deep connection to the land and the communities that shaped her, she finds as much meaning in the quiet moments, time on the land, raising her children, being present for the people around her, as she does in any boardroom or film set. She is also a passionate traveller, drawn to new places and different ways of living, always searching, always finding pieces of herself along the way. That curiosity about the world is the same force that drives her work.

Jessica leads with heart and builds with intention. She believes Indigenous stories don't just deserve space, they belong on the world stage.

"We can do anything. We are resilient, we are creative, and our stories matter."
